I worked as a part-time stable girl for four years, from age 14 to 18 when I left home to go to university.
The Stable owner, a gentleman in his late 40s, was a keen amateur showjumper and owned a number of horses as well as providing stabling for several other owners. He employed two full-time stable girls and five part-timers, all girls, who worked mainly weekends and school holidays.
He was quite fussy about how the horses were groomed and looked after, as well as keeping the place clean and tidy. Particularly with the part-time girls, there were always other girls only too willing to take our place if we got sacked. Of course we talked amongst ourselves and it was well known that if our work wasn’t up to scratch we would be offered a choice of the sack or his alternative punishment, in other words a spanking.
Whenever, he chose to find fault with my work, and he threatened me with the sack, I always accepted his offer of the alternative. At first, it was just being taken into his office and put across his knee, followed by a hand spanking on the seat of my jodhpurs. Later, he would take my jodhpurs down and spank me on my knickers.
Curiously, there were times when I would become jealous when other girls were taken into the office. I imagine nowadays people would throw their hands up in horror at what he did, but it did me no harm. It was almost like a little game to us.
